Merry Christmas!

The past few years Christmas has become a time for travel, food and family.  This year was no exception.  Especially with the little ones, the traveling takes its toll, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

We spent Christmas Eve Eve and Christmas Eve with my family in Bridgeport. Even though we see them monthly, the babies are growing so quickly sometimes it seems like it's been forever.  Pretty soon Mya and Julia will be running around just like Mason.  All the kids seemed to enjoy the time together - and all three actually behaved at church!

We drove home Christmas Eve night so we could awaken as a family and see what Santa had delivered.  Mason was excited to see a Lightening McQueen bike under the tree.  Mya seemed pleased about her jumbo box of diapers.  What more could she ask for after all?  From us they each received a new hooded bath towel (more excitement), and Mason received a matching helmet and bell for his bike and Mya received an elephant that I will never be able to explain.

After our traditional pancake breakfast, we headed over to Richland for Christmas with Adam's mom's side of the family.  Mya was a perfect angel all day - "pass-the-baby" didn't seem to phase her all.  She just kept a sweet little smile on her face, except when trying to lick Mason.  Even on Christmas Monday, when we celebrated with Adam's dad's side of the family in Plainwell, Mya continued to be happy as can be.  We really are fortunate she's such an easy-going baby.  But on this fourth day of celebration, Mason's mood had finally deteriorated as he was clearly worn out from all the hoopla.  Somehow we survived it all, and even managed to find a home for all the kiddos' new toys.

We hope all of you had a Christmas as happy as we did and wish you a joyous New Year.
